The Rotary Foundation The mission of the Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by volunteer contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. Within our District we contribute through Annual Giving programs, as benefactors, or to the Permanent Fund and to Polioplus Partners. The benefits we gain are through Group Study Exchanges, Matching Grants, District Simplified Grants, and Scholarships. Currently we have many Matching Grant projects and opportunities to help achieve these mission objectives with our district web site updating the progress of these projects. We also have District Simplified Grants, which support the development of service activities or humanitarian endeavour projects within the District. To ensure the transparency of the use of our funds, regular reports are required from each project leader. Members are encouraged to visit project sites and report back to the District on these projects, spreading the information gained and the goodwill achieved. Rotarians have seen the benefits of Group Study Exchanges with outstanding young non-Rotarian business and professional people. The next exchange is to be with a team from Brazil. Below are application forms for a District Simplified Grant. These applications are processed annually.
